Wszystko zaczęło się na Islandii, gdzie nasza założycielka i dyrektor kreatywna odkrywała krajobrazy i goniła za zorzami polarnymi. Tam natknęła się na coś interesującego - materiał wytwarzany w sposób zrównoważony, którego początki sięgają ponad 5000 lat wstecz. Nordycka tradycja recyklingu wyrzucanych rybich skór zainspirowała Mayurę do włączenia odpowiedzialności do myślenia projektowego i stworzenia zrównoważonej marki luksusowej. Z myślą o możliwości tworzenia wspólnej wartości poprzez świadome produkty, docieramy do odkrywców, twórców, marzycieli i aktywistów. Nazwa 'MAYU' pochodzi od słowa 'Mayura', które w języku japońskim oznacza 'łagodność' i 'wyższość'.
